Washing and Watermelon

4 girls, 10 days worth of clothes, and 1 laundry mat in complete Spanish. You can only imagine how this went for us.

Things We Learned:

1. Washing machines in Spain are pre-loaded with detergent.
2. The spin cycle sounds like an airplane taking off.
3. Doing laundry is a social event.
4. Air-drying clothes in the daisy room is harder than it sounds.
5. Grandmothers love to talk to us.

Our little laundry excursion left us a little dazed and confused and a home cooked meal from Flori was just what the doctor ordered. We finally convinced her that we only needed ONE hamburger; we think she is trying to fatten us up. She said that Spain sells perfectly fashionable elastic pants (LOL). One hamburger and lots of jokes from Jorge (The Austrian) later we enjoyed a DELICIOUS sandía—watermelon—and got ready for a relaxing night in the Plaza with friends.

Buuueeennnnaaasss (Hailey’s new favorite Spanish greeting).
